Over a year later I have finally taken the time to post all of the birthday cards mailed to founding members of bagaki.com for the 5th birthday bash. If you never received your card, don’t fret it, apparently a few didn’t. But now you can see what you (were supposed to) and everyone else got.

Aaaah, the sweet, sweet sounds of Van Halen have never sounded so good as when Gurt T Luhrman was singing them at some small bar karaoke event. I had to represent and perform a little Jump to get things rockin. What is karaoke without Van Halen, and what is Jump without David Lee Roth? Oh, there are rumors of photos from the event and as soon as I can confirm this and get my hands on them, they will be posted for your viewing pleasure. Did someone say The Bagaki Experience?
I would like to conduct a creative experiment involving those participating interactively with this site and the future design of the entire bagaki.com regime of websites. I would like to encourage you to submit ideas or concepts for the new website design. (Example: color schemes, themes, submitted: photos, sounds, videos, copy or written text, anything you can imagine)
The experiment is to take everything submitted and build or create a website around these contributions. I would like to put a one week window on submissions to keep this idea flowing. Any and all submissions are appreciated and will be incorporated into the final design. Please (and I hate that I have to put this disclaimer here) keep it respectable. I know some of you enjoy rather “odd” things, this is a family website.

In celebration of bagaki.com’s 6th birthday and the impending launch of bagakiTV, we are celebrating this week with gobs of Internet video to push the genre. We practice what we preach, most of the time.
Also, due to Mr Bagaki’s impromptu birthday party on 10.10.2006, the traditional bagaki.com birthday website will be postponed until our return to the office. Mr Bagaki sends his deepest apologies and promises he will make it up to everyone in attendance of the party. (Don’t worry, there are a few of you who will not be able to attend, I will personally save you a few party favors.)

What would the count-up to our 6th birthday be without a solicitation. As your premier daily Internet rest-stop, we would like to take this moment to remind you that blog.bagaki.com is offered to you free of charge. We do not support the site with banner advertisements which means it is reader supported. (Actually it is Mr Bagaki supported because no readers contribute… except for one donation from an unnamed viewer)
No, I’m not going to ask you for money, because really we don’t need your money yet. At some point we might start asking for your money, but that will only be because we lost our last bindle. Otherwise you are in the clear, nothing to worry about. Its not like we are PBS or anything. Gosh, don’t you hate pledge drives.
A pistol whipping. So I missed a day, maybe a couple. After picking up my teeth and wiping the blood from my eyes I was able to jump back online and update the site according to plan. You can now visit and see the 4th day front page along with the previous days that were missed.
oooh, I am miserably sick. Not only that but I am on the road for work for the 5th week. I want to crawl into my own bed and not leave for a few days. As so kindly pointed out by kigis, yes we missed a day. I promise I will make it up to you. The work of setting up my mobile office seems so daunting right now I could puke. I just want to be home.
I will make it up to you, or Mr Bagaki will pistol whip me into a coma.
The time has come, another year has passed. We are now down to the final 10 days preceding the 6th birthday of bagaki.com. It is my pleasure to initiate the countdown this year and in doing so I will be introducing this years cast of characters to the blog and readers.
For those of you new to this, October 10th is the birthday of bagaki.com. Every year we have a 10 day countdown to the 10th. We like to celebrate by designing a special “birthday” version of the site. (Check the archives for previous versions) This year, like all others will be no different. I have already commissioned the 6th annual birthday site, which should leave everyone happy inside.
