One year ago today we started a month long giveaway challenge. It sucked, no lies. Well this year I have decided (just now actually) that we are going to try this again. I have yet to get “permission” from “the boss” to do this, so if he doesn’t like it, I will personally pony up the cash for the prize.
THE GOAL
hmmm, why are we doing this. Well, readership is up, up, up, so I don’t think we need to give things away to attract new people. I guess it could be to reward our loyal readers, but…. how.
THE PLAN
I will concoct a giveaway game, but no one ever plays. I get three responses for 30 days, all by the same person. The more I type out my thoughts on this, the more I realize this just isn’t worth my time. I might just as well pick a random reader at a random moment from a random comment and give them something random.
So there it is, I might give something to someone for writing something on some blog for no real reason. If you would like to play, simply do nothing. Giveaways, ha, nothing is free you suckers… or maybe I’m the sucker.

Dear Mr. Luhrman,
To think of expecting material reward for the simple activity of viewing your website is profoundly greedy, in my opinion. It truly is a gift to be enlightened with your views, thoughts, and innermost feelings on a daily basis; it is a reward unto itself. Anything beyond this is simply icing on the cake. Although that might be a urinal cake - cake, nonetheless.
