More On The Nyquil Front

Posted October 6th @ 10:43 am by Gurt T. Luhrman

So I have taken Nyquil the past few nights to aide in my sleeping and discomfort and have noticed a drastic increase in the ridiculousness and lunacy of my dreams. Not only does this stuff knock you out, it messes with your dream state. I also think it is aiding in the development of me starting to couch in the morning now. Until I used this stuff I wasn’t couching, not I am couching. Sure there are other explanations such as the growth of the “virus” that I have, but I don’t like that theory. I blame the syrup. It knocks me out, which allows me to sleep though the night which leaves my throat dry. When I awake, my swollen dry throat makes me cough. I don’t know why I am bitching, I would rather cough for a while I guess than only get 20 minutes of sleep at a time. Damn, the lesser of two evils. Don’t you just hate these types of situations. Like when you have to choose between using a gross public bathroom or living in discomfort until you get home.

So Gurt, Have you been to the Dr (MD not PhD) about this prolonged illness? Not to freak you out but another grad student I know told me about how her roommate had been sick for a couple of weeks but she just thought it was a bad flu/cold. Finally her roommate convinced her to go to the doctor where she found out she had bac. Meningitis. Luckily they caught it in time but they say the morality rate can be pretty high. Just want to make sure old gurtie is still there to kick around at Bagaki’s 20th aniversary.

It was also suggested that I have SARs. I have not been to the doctor. I feel almost 100% again, it was just my dry throat this morning that mad me couch. No more couching after a few glasses of water and a lozenge. Some sinus drainage, but that could be attributed to allergies.

If things are still a bit off on monday I will see a doctor, I promise.
