Yeah, I’m with Gurt on this one, amazing find. The 1978 Science Fiction Film Awards. I love him and his cig as the beginning. This thing just gets weirder and weirder as you continue to watch it.

As I watch this video over and over again, I wonder if this is rehearsed or if he ad-libs the entire song. This guy puts so much emotion into every single word that it gives me goosebumps.
I laughed at the fact they called this an “interpretation of the song rocketman”. I think thats the best you could do to describe this, an interpretation. Does this guy even know what he is doing? What the hell is going through Shatner’s mind at 3:50 seconds into this video. I love that little part. “Oh, no, no, no, I’m a rock-et-man, ROCKETman!”
