For those of you not familiar with Frontline, I urge you to take a stop by their site and look things over. This is in my opinion some of the better journalism out there today. With all of the infotainment on the major networks and constant battle for viewership, Frontline give you a fresh perspective to in-depth investigative journalism. Not just the daily “highlights” or shock value stories to keep your attention, these in-depth features shed new light into many of todays issues.
You can access much of their archives online and watch them for free at your discretion. My only gripe is that some of them are encoded in realmedia, so you will need realplayer to watch some of them. Otherwise you get the choice of realmedia or windows media. If you have some free time, it is always worth watching one of them. A few personal favorites include:
Waco: The Inside Story
Merchants of Cool
The Wall Street Fix
You get to see how the FBI failed in the Waco stand-off, how MTV and Corporate America create bands like Limp Bizkit, and how fraudulent the suits on Wall Street are. Citibank is an evil empire, but so are too many other corporations.
