The winner of the November giveaway has officially denounced the prize, and refused acceptance. The set of used Thomas Kinkade signature candles was turned down during an awards ceremony last night at the Bagaki Grand Hall in Las Vegas. The recipient, whose name is being withheld, refused to accept the gift with the statement, “Thomas Kinkade’s work smells like fecal discharge, it stinks.” He then took the candles and threw them to the ground, shattering them on the marble floor.
In a rare moment, Mr. Bagaki broke into tears and yelled obscenities into the crowd of over 3500. “Mister Bagaki’s reaction to the insult was unjustified and [he] has expressed sincere regret and apology to the audience and to all of his members and fans†stated Lurble Reet, Bagaki’s spokesman. Reet continued, “We saw a man pushed to his limits, who eventually broke under the pressure please his members.â€
Last night’s event has put the December Giveaway on hold indefinitely until a resolution can be had regarding the appropriateness of the awards. Mister Bagaki was unavailable for comment, as well as the intended recipient.
